A very rare bronze pommel with a piece of the grip in the shape of a Roman cavalry mask helmet, 1st–2nd century AD. The bronze helmet is a miniature version of a parade helmet, incorporated into a weapon — likely a ceremonial dagger or parade sword. These weapons were often worn by officers or elite soldiers. The shape often refers to rank, identity, or military symbolism.
